Etudes & Production Schlumberger/ Riboud Product Centre (EPS): Founded in 1959 in Clamart, near Paris, France, the Riboud Product Center is a European Technology Center for Oilfield Services. It is a Center of Excellence of cased-hole, open-hole, down-hole and surface well testing, permanent monitoring and control systems and cementing, with unique development & manufacturing facilities. EPS’s technology groups include electronics, mechanics, physics, chemistry, and software teams that define standards and best practices for the oil & gas industry. EPS products are used around the world in difficult and hostile environments. EPS multidisciplinary experts push the boundaries to develop safer, more environmental, less expensive and more efficient ways for oil companies to measure, evaluate and produce their reservoirs.
The department in charge of the CO2 wellbore isolation project is the Wellbore Integrity one. Over 80 technical persons are currently working on developing new technologies for oil and gas well cementing.
Wellbore logging expertise is provided across the center, with domains including measurements while drilling, formation petrophysical characterization, casing integrity and cement mapping.
